The Virginia warmth heat has officially set in and I am preparing all manner of summer recipes to share with you all! I dread the summer heat but I love the bounty of fresh foods and herbs that come along with it.
Are you doing anything especially fun for Cinco De Mayo? I’m making us a double batch of these crispy pork tacos - our favorite meal ever - and I really cannot think of a better way to celebrate!
Have you tried the hazelnut spread M&M’s? I was a little disappointed to be honest. I just felt like the hazelnut was overwhelming and I would have liked the filling to be a little softer and creamier. Womp. Womp.
Okay, so maybe I’m weird but this sounds so unappetizing to me. Guacamole cheese?
Um, I think I need a Robotic planter now.
To my fellow make-up lovers, I am switching eye liner for the first time in six years and giving this one a go. I’m making bold strides these days.
We have company all weekend and I am ready with a 5-pound bag of Swedish Fish and all the tacos and doughnuts. What are you up to?
Sometimes the meals we make out of desperation are the best meals.
This might be a post about cupcakes. Or, it could just as easily be a post about when to value balance and when to throw discretion to the wind.
Tuesday morning I woke up feeling a little under the weather and by the time I was heading to bed that night the verdict was clear - another winter cold. This bug certainly slowed my momentum this week, but I have been fighting hard, with medication in hand and many boxes of tissues nearby. If I was not excited about summer before, I am now!
I know I am constantly claiming new favorites, but this…this is something extra special.
With picnics and barbecues making their way onto our calendars, this is a good time for all of us to put a little thought into our side dish recipe arsenal. Sure, you could buy store-bought pasta salad, but who really hates their friends that much?
What a week it has been. There’s been pupping-admiring (my parent’s dogs became parents!!), post-surgery care for Sabine (just spaying, and she’s doing okay), our first of (hopefully) many dinners on the patio, truly incredible moments in the fashion world, and just a whole lot of life. I have been trudging through the days under the weight of unexplainable exhaustion and complete indifference to my to-do list. It’s been a bit of a struggle, but we are making it, slowly, but surely.
I want to dive right into this bowl of summer!!
I’ve got three, life-altering words. Lemon. Curd. Glaze.
Sunsets, flip-flops, and all the salt water taffy have filled the past few days and this brief retreat has been a blessing. Sometimes the best part of vacation is simply not knowing what day it is.
